Values that we define together

Professional work and great relationships don't happen by chance. Our values, which we have developed and internalised together as a team in workshops, shape the way we treat our customers, our fellow human beings and ourselves.

We focus on personal responsibility

Not only do we take a high level of responsibility for our products and processes, but we also want to work together flexibly, freely and independently. In doing so, we respect each other and take into account individual working methods that have been agreed with the team.

We live an open feedback culture

We give ourselves positive feedback and show gratitude, but we also discuss challenges and problems openly and fairly. For us, constructive feedback is part of an appreciative culture and, in our opinion, promotes personal development and strengthens self-confidence.

We love it at eye level

We communicate openly, honestly and directly with each other and never about each other. Every opinion is valued and personal perspectives are expressly encouraged. The sustainable development of our corporate culture is very important to us.

Daily Business

What are you doing at Format D?

Your tasks in this working student or dual student position are to support the agile team and the Product Lead in the support and further development of our digital products.

You will gain a practical insight into the SCRUM methodology and learn how to work in an agile environment. Your core tasks will include helping to prepare and maintain requirements in the ticket system and code repository (GitLab). You will support communication between customers and the team by coordinating appointments and documenting meeting results. You will actively assist in maintaining customer relationships and help to understand customer requirements and prepare them for the team.

You will also support the monitoring of timings and budgets to ensure that the agreed framework conditions are adhered to. You will actively contribute to ensuring the quality of the products and help the team to continuously improve processes. This role will allow you to gain valuable hands-on experience and learn the fundamentals of agile project management from the ground up in a cutting-edge and innovative environment.

A good fit

Why you fit to us

We realise that you can never do everything and that the concept of a jack-of-all-trades is pretty old-school and unrealistic. What is important to us is not a polished CV, but above all that you are a good fit as a person and that you want to make an active contribution.

  • You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme or would like to start a dual study programme with us as a practice partner.

  • Organisational talent and a proactive way of working: You like to lend a hand, think for yourself and work in a structured manner.

  • Strong communication skills and team spirit:  You are open, communicate clearly and are willing to actively contribute to our team.

  • Interest in digital products and agile methods: You have an enthusiasm for IT topics and the motivation to familiarise yourself with agile processes.

  • You are empathetic and enjoy approaching other people.

  • Communicating with your team and your customers in German is no problem for you.

And now?

Your journey to and with us

You are welcome to call Carina or send her an e-mail. Just send us what you would like to show us about yourself. A few additional words about you as a person, your ideas and wishes would also make us happy!

Together with the team, we will look at your application and get back to you as soon as we have some initial feedback for you. As a rule, you will receive feedback from us after approx. 1 week.

Carina will tell you a little more about us, our working methods and our products in an initial interview. She will probably also want to find out more about you. Depending on which area you are applying for, this will be followed by a deep dive and, for positions in Development, a short coding experience with people from the respective team. Preferably in person at our office, of course, so that you can get to know the rest of the team.

It is always important to us that we fit together both professionally and personally. That's why we take a lot of time to get to know each other and are of course delighted when there's a match! We then simply discuss the rest together so that we can all look forward to a great future together!

We have exciting stories to tell.
